[NA] AG Weekly #14 Results

W

hat appeared to be a very large spike in interest for the Academy Gaming weekly tournaments turned into capping the tournament teams at 12 out of 12 open spots. With the previous week’s winners, Indestructible Teddy Bears, being the clear favorites this week, we also had returning champions Seraphs of Fortuna making a comeback to try to reclaim their throne. The two met in the upper half semi-finals where the Teddy Bears had some extremely close matches but ended up coming out top winning 2-0 and moved into the finals.

In the bottom half the Muffin Stuffers took on The InBread in the semi-finals where the Muffin Stuffers won a thrilling 2-1 series. The finals was a huge test for both teams as they had notable players on both end but the Teddy Bears took the series 2-0 where they became back-to-back champions of the Academy Gaming weeklies.

In light of the boost of teams participating in the Academy Gaming weekly tournaments we have decided to expand it to 16 teams, allowing for the extra four teams to take on the top four teams in the first round.
